Ice Mist for Australia

A great result for SMB clients Ross Ferris and Marie Ewert at the Keeneland November sale recently, securing the stakes winning mare Ice Mist for US$70,000.

A stakes winner over 1600m, Ice Mist has also been placed at Group 3 level and been competitive in top class turf races on the strong east coast tracks of Keeneland, Churchill Downs and Belmont.

A lovely, big strong mare, 16.1hh, correct and with a great presence about her Ice Mist will arrive in Australia in January.

Plans to race her on are yet to be formalised but either way, she will make a great addition to an impressive band of mares Ross and Marie have formed when the time comes.

They say good things come to those who wait and with Ice Mist going through the 6th day of the sale, those words certainly ring true in this case.

Simple WIn

Snitzel filly Simple Choice recorded her maiden win at Traralgon recently in a manner that suggests better things could be in store.

Out of a Zabeel mare, Simple Choice looks like she will certainly appreciate some patience and longer distances.

The 3YO filly was having just her fourth start after being beaten a nose at Echuca first up. She was perfectly ridden by Dale Smith over the 1400m journey and scored at the restrictive odds of $1.60
