Great to see that Planet Five is settling in well in his new home at Touchstone Farm. Sourced by Sheamus Mills Bloodstock on behalf of the Western Australian nursery, Planet Five is an impeccably bred son of Storm Cat and provides breeders with speed, speed, speed being a Group 2 winner over 1000m.
With the pedigree, looks and ability to succeed Planet Five is well worth checking out.

Cross Of The future?
The outstanding win by 3YO sensation Smart Missile in the Group 3 Run To The Rose on Saturday threw plenty of attention on his sire Fastnet Rock but perhaps less is known about his dam side.
Smart Missile is out of Comical Smile - an imported mare from the US who is by the Red Ransom horse Comic Strip, a Group 3 winner at Churchill Downs who has sired useful 2YO's from his base in California.
Comic Strip looked the part as a $300,000 yearling, the most expensive of 71 yearlings sold by his sire Red Ransom in 1996. As a two year old Comic Strip won twice and in his next 18 starts at 3 and 4 he recorded 8 wins, 5 seconds and 3 thirds. His race record shows great versatility on dirt or on turf and at any racetrack. He was in the Triple Crown picture when he won the Louisiana Derby and as a 4YO, Comic Strip he won black type races on turf at various tracks including Saratoga. Half of his ten wins came in stakes races as did half of his six second place finishes. Add three third place finishes in stakes races and you have a true consistent top class graded stakes competitor.
Interestingly, Comical Smile was the only mare in Australia by Comic Strip until recently when Ross Ferris and Marie Ewart purchased and imported the Listed Stakes winner Table Mesa through Sheamus Mills Bloodstock.

The winner of over $180,000 in prizemoney, Table Mesa will be mated on the same Danehill/Red Ransom cross as Smart Missile by visiting the Kitchwin Hills based sire Dane Shadow in her first season at stud.
Great day at Caulfield!!
It was great to host a number of clients and friends at Caulfield for the Liston Stakes on the first SMB race day. With plenty of stars back for the spring the racing is really hotting up.
